The DragonStage 4' x 4' Plexiglass Acrylic Deck All-Terrain Height Adjustable Stage combines a transparent 18mm (0.71 in) plexiglass/acrylic deck with an independently adjustable aluminum support system for weddings, churches, hotels, parties, ceremonies and event installations.
Each 4' x 4' (1.22 x 1.22m) modular platform uses an 18mm clear acrylic deck supported by a 6061 aluminum structure. Individual support legs can be adjusted separately to compensate for differences in ground level while creating a level finished stage surface.
Seven adjustable height ranges are available from 0.4m to 2.0m (1.3–6.6 ft), with a rated complete stage-system load capacity of 750kg/m².
Multiple modules can be connected to build larger stages, runways and ceremony platforms. Adjacent platforms share supporting legs and braces. Stairs and guardrails are available as optional accessories.

Dragon Stage
Most portable stages use plywood or aluminum deck surfaces.
But sometimes the buyer does not want the stage surface to visually block the decoration underneath it.
For weddings, churches, hotels, parties, ceremonies and presentation areas, a transparent stage can become part of the event design itself.
This version of our All-Terrain Stage uses:
18mm Clear Plexiglass / Acrylic Deck
combined with:
Individually Adjustable Aluminum Supports
The result is a modular transparent stage that can be adjusted for different finished heights and differences in ground level.
Its basic buying logic is simple:
Transparent Event Design + Uneven or Variable Ground → Clear Acrylic Deck + Adjustable Stage System

Stage Platforms & Decks
https://www.dragonevent.com/Stage-Platforms-Decks-pl09254276.html
The walking surface is made from 18mm (approximately 0.71 in) clear plexiglass/acrylic.
“Plexiglass” is a commonly used buyer term for clear acrylic sheet, so you may also see this type of product described as:
Plexiglass stage;
acrylic stage;
clear acrylic stage;
transparent stage;
acrylic deck stage.
For this product, the important confirmed specification is:
Deck Material: Clear Plexiglass / Acrylic
Deck Thickness: 18mm / approximately 0.71 in
This is different from our 18mm tempered glass deck version, even though both can create a transparent stage surface.
The main reason to choose this version is visibility.
The transparent deck allows lighting and decorative elements beneath or around the platform to remain visible.
This makes the stage particularly useful for:
wedding ceremonies;
wedding aisles;
churches;
hotel events;
parties;
fashion presentations;
product displays;
decorative performance areas;
transparent runways.
Instead of hiding everything underneath a conventional black plywood deck, the clear surface can become part of the event design.
This stage uses an 18mm acrylic deck, not a thin decorative plastic sheet.
However, thickness alone should never be used to determine the load capacity of a stage.
The complete system consists of:
18mm Acrylic Deck + Aluminum Deck Frame + Supporting Legs + Bracing + Connections + Ground Supports
The confirmed rated load capacity of this complete DragonStage configuration is:
750kg/m²
That figure belongs to the complete specified stage system.
It should not be interpreted as:
Any 18mm Acrylic Sheet = 750kg/m²
Changing the acrylic panel specification, dimensions, frame, support positions, connections or structural configuration can change the performance of the complete stage.
This distinction is particularly important if a buyer later wants to source a replacement acrylic panel locally.
One of the main advantages of this stage is that the support legs can be adjusted independently.
If the supporting surface is not perfectly level, different legs can be set at different heights.
The principle is:
Uneven Ground
↓
Different Support Heights
↓
Level Finished Stage Surface
This makes the system useful for locations where a conventional fixed-height stage would be difficult to level.
For related components:
Stage Legs & Supports
https://www.dragonevent.com/Stage-Legs-Supports-pl08154276.html
The system is available in seven adjustable-height configurations:
Option | Adjustable Height | Approx. Imperial |
|---|---|---|
A | 0.4–0.8m | 1.3–2.6 ft |
B | 0.6–1.0m | 2.0–3.3 ft |
C | 0.8–1.2m | 2.6–3.9 ft |
D | 1.0–1.4m | 3.3–4.6 ft |
E | 1.2–2.0m | 3.9–6.6 ft |
F | 1.2–1.8m | 3.9–5.9 ft |
G | 1.6–2.0m | 5.2–6.6 ft |
For most buyers, we recommend choosing the smallest practical adjustment range that covers both:
Required Finished Stage Height + Expected Ground-Level Difference
Do not automatically choose the tallest version simply because it provides the largest adjustment range.
Each stage module measures:
4' x 4'
approximately:
1.22 x 1.22m
and uses:
18mm / 0.71 in Clear Acrylic Deck
The modular format makes it possible to combine multiple units into:
square stages;
rectangular stages;
wedding platforms;
ceremony areas;
clear runways;
church stages;
hotel event platforms.
This also allows buyers to start with a smaller practical package and add compatible modules later.
When multiple 4' x 4' platforms are connected, adjacent modules share supporting components.
Two adjoining platforms share:
2 Legs + 1 Brace
This means that a complete 16-module stage does not simply require 16 times the hardware used by one standalone module.
Leg and brace quantities should be calculated from the final stage layout.
Send us the required:
Length × Width × Finished Height
and we can determine the appropriate platform and supporting-component configuration.

Replacement or locally sourced panels should not be assumed compatible based on thickness alone.
This is where I think this product page should be stronger than simply saying “we also have other deck materials.”
For a buyer, the real question is:
Which stage surface fits my event and operating conditions?
18mm Plexiglass / Acrylic | 18mm Tempered Glass | Plywood | Aluminum | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Transparent | Yes | Yes | No | No |

Typical Buyer | Wedding / Event Decoration | Premium Wedding / Hotel | General Event Buyer | Outdoor / Rental Company |
Main Buying Reason | Transparency + practical event use | Premium glass appearance | General purpose | Frequent outdoor/rental use |
Because we offer both with the same All-Terrain Stage structure, this is probably the most important decision for a buyer looking for a transparent stage.
you want a transparent stage;
the stage will be transported and handled as event equipment;
you want a clear surface for wedding or event decoration;
lighting or decoration underneath the deck is important;
you prefer acrylic rather than glass as the transparent deck material.
the material appearance of real glass is specifically important;
the stage is intended for premium hotel, church or luxury-event presentation;
the customer or project specification specifically requests tempered glass;
careful glass transportation and handling can be accommodated.
The important point is that both versions use an 18mm transparent deck and the same basic adjustable stage design, but the deck materials are different.
Neither material should automatically be considered “better” for every buyer.
If transparency is not important, plywood is usually the more straightforward choice.
Choose Plexiglass / Acrylic for:
visual effect + transparency + event decoration
Choose Plywood for:
general events + conventional stage appearance + practical everyday use
For a first-time stage buyer who simply needs a functional portable stage, we would normally not recommend paying for a transparent surface unless it serves a real visual purpose.
For a rental company that repeatedly loads, transports, installs and dismantles stages outdoors, aluminum remains the more practical surface for many jobs.
Choose Plexiglass / Acrylic when the customer is paying for the visual effect.
Choose Aluminum when repeated outdoor use and rougher rental handling are more important than transparency.
This is why a clear acrylic stage often makes more sense as a specialty rental product than as the only stage system in a rental company's inventory.
This is one of the strongest applications for a clear acrylic deck.
The transparent surface can be combined visually with:
flowers;
decorative lighting;
venue flooring;
wedding décor;
other elements positioned beneath the platform.
It works particularly well for:
Bride & Groom Platforms
Wedding Ceremony Stages
Clear Wedding Aisles
Photo Platforms
A wedding buyer does not necessarily need a large stage.
Sometimes a smaller transparent center platform or aisle provides more visual value than covering the entire event area with acrylic decks.
Clear acrylic platforms can also be used for:
church speaking platforms;
worship stages;
ceremony areas;
choir platforms;
presentation stages.
Where a conventional black deck appears visually heavy, a transparent surface can help the platform blend into the surrounding interior or decorative design.
For hotels, banquet venues and premium events, stage appearance can be almost as important as basic stage function.
Acrylic platforms can be used for:
gala events;
ceremonies;
product launches;
hotel gardens;
presentation areas;
branded events.
Plexiglass also provides a useful advantage for party environments:
lighting can become part of the stage itself.
Lighting positioned appropriately beneath or around the clear deck can create a different visual effect from a conventional opaque platform.
Any lighting arrangement must remain clear of structural connections, braces, support legs, access routes and inspection points.
For rental companies, we recommend thinking about this product differently from a standard plywood stage.
A practical inventory path is:
General Plywood Stage
↓
Outdoor / High-Use Aluminum Stage
↓
Transparent Acrylic Stage
↓
Premium Tempered Glass Stage if your market requires it
The acrylic stage adds a different type of rental job rather than simply duplicating the function of your existing stage.
For companies serving:
wedding planners;
churches;
hotels;
party organizers;
premium private events;
a transparent stage can provide a useful specialty inventory option.
Using nominal 4' x 4' modules:
Required Stage Size | Layout | Deck Quantity |
|---|---|---|
4' x 4' | 1 × 1 | 1 |
8' x 8' | 2 × 2 | 4 |
12' x 8' | 3 × 2 | 6 |
12' x 12' | 3 × 3 | 9 |
16' x 12' | 4 × 3 | 12 |
16' x 16' | 4 × 4 | 16 |
20' x 16' | 5 × 4 | 20 |
These quantities calculate the deck modules only.
Because adjacent modules share legs and braces, the final supporting-component quantity must be calculated according to the complete layout.
Good for:
bride and groom platform;
small ceremony stage;
photo platform;
decorative event area.
Start with the smallest clear area that achieves the required visual effect.
You may also need:
stairs;
decorative lighting;
guardrails depending on stage height and application.
For a wedding aisle, first determine:
Required Aisle Length ÷ 4 ft = Approximate Number of Modules Along the Length
The final layout also depends on the required width.
For example, a buyer should decide whether the clear acrylic surface is required for the entire aisle or only for a central feature area before purchasing more modules.
For speaking, choir or ceremony use, consider:
Required Platform Area + Finished Height + Access
Then add stairs and edge protection where required.
If you already own conventional stages, do not necessarily duplicate your full existing inventory in acrylic.
A more practical approach is:
Start with a smaller modular transparent package
↓
Test demand from wedding and premium-event customers
↓
Add more 4' x 4' modules as bookings increase
This follows DragonEvent's preferred approach of starting with the minimum practical package, rather than encouraging buyers to over-purchase.
An elevated transparent stage still requires practical access.
Choose the stair size according to the finished deck height.

For compatible support and height-related components:
Stage Legs & Supports
https://www.dragonevent.com/Stage-Legs-Supports-pl08154276.html
Compatibility should be confirmed before replacing or mixing structural components from different stage systems.
The first question should be:
Does the transparent surface add value to this event?
If the deck will be completely covered with carpet, fabric or an opaque decorative layer, a plywood or aluminum stage may be more economical and practical.
This is incorrect.
For this product:
Deck Thickness = 18mm
and:
Complete Confirmed Stage-System Rated Capacity = 750kg/m²
These are two different specifications.
Do not convert them into:
18mm Acrylic = 750kg/m²
The deck, frame, supports, braces and connections work together as one stage system.
Matching thickness does not automatically mean matching compatibility.
A replacement deck may also need to match:
dimensions;
material specification;
edge condition;
frame interface;
support locations;
manufacturing requirements.
Please confirm with us before substituting a locally sourced panel.
A clear deck is purchased partly for appearance.
That means scratches, dust, footprints and surface marks can be more noticeable than on a conventional opaque stage.
Rental companies should therefore consider:
protective storage;
panel separation during transport;
cleaning before events;
careful loading and unloading.
This is a USE issue, not merely a cosmetic detail.
More adjustment is not automatically better.
Start from:
Normal Finished Height + Expected Ground Difference
and select the smallest practical range.
Do not purchase the platform first and think about access later.
For elevated configurations, stairs and appropriate edge protection should be considered as part of the complete buying package.
“Plexiglass” is commonly used by buyers to describe clear acrylic sheet. For this product, the deck is an 18mm clear acrylic/plexiglass panel.
The deck thickness is:
18mm / approximately 0.71 in
The rated load capacity of the confirmed complete stage configuration is:
750kg/m²
This applies to the specified complete DragonStage system, including the 18mm acrylic deck, frame, supports, bracing and connections.
It should not be treated as a standalone load rating for arbitrary 18mm acrylic sheet.
Yes.
The basic adjustable All-Terrain Stage design is the same.
The primary difference is the deck material:
Plexiglass Version → 18mm Acrylic Deck
Tempered Glass Version → 18mm Tempered Glass Deck
Both confirmed complete configurations have the same 750kg/m² rated system capacity.
It depends on the application.
Choose plexiglass/acrylic when you want a transparent stage surface with practical event handling in mind.
Choose tempered glass when the appearance or project specification specifically calls for a glass deck.
For general-purpose event staging where transparency is unnecessary, plywood or aluminum may be a better purchase.
Yes.
Each support can be adjusted independently to compensate for differences in ground level.
Seven adjustable ranges are available:
0.4–0.8m
0.6–1.0m
0.8–1.2m
1.0–1.4m
1.2–1.8m
1.2–2.0m
1.6–2.0m
Yes.
The 4' x 4' modules can be connected to form larger stages and runways.
Adjacent modules share 2 legs and 1 brace, so the final supporting-component quantity should be calculated from the complete layout.
Yes.
The modular 4' x 4' format can be arranged to create clear ceremony platforms and aisle-style layouts.
The required quantity depends on the final aisle length and width.
Lighting can be incorporated around or beneath the transparent stage as part of the event design, provided it does not interfere with structural components, connections, access or inspection.
Stairs are optional and should be selected according to the finished stage height.
