The DragonStage 4' x 4' All-Terrain Height Adjustable Stage Platform is designed for outdoor events and temporary venues where the ground is uneven, sloped or requires different support heights.
Each 4' x 4' (1.22 x 1.22m) modular stage deck uses individually adjustable support legs, allowing different points of the structure to be set at different heights while creating a level stage surface.
Seven adjustable height ranges are available from 0.4m to 2.0m (1.3–6.6 ft). The system uses a 6061 aluminum structure, 18mm black anti-slip plywood deck, and has a rated load capacity of 750kg/m².
Multiple modules can be combined into larger stages, with adjacent platforms sharing supporting legs and braces to reduce unnecessary duplicate components.
Stairs and guardrails are available as optional accessories.

Dragon Stage
Not every event takes place on a flat ballroom floor.
Outdoor lawns, hotel courtyards, plazas, festival grounds and temporary event sites may have small slopes, level differences or uneven surfaces.
For these situations, simply placing a fixed-height stage on the ground may cause the stage surface to follow the uneven terrain.
The 4' x 4' All-Terrain Height Adjustable Stage Platform solves this problem by allowing each support leg to be adjusted independently.
The basic working logic is simple:
Uneven Ground → Adjust Individual Support Heights → Create a Level Stage Surface
This makes the system especially useful for outdoor events, rental companies and temporary venues where installation conditions change from one project to another.
Customers looking for other modular staging options can also explore our Stage & Platform range.
Each supporting leg can be adjusted separately.
If one side of the installation area is lower than the other, the supports on that side can be extended farther while the higher side remains shorter.
The objective is not to make the stage follow the slope.
The objective is to create a level performance surface above uneven ground.
Different events require different stage elevations.
Instead of using one support system for every situation, this product is available in seven adjustable height ranges from 0.4m to 2.0m.
This gives buyers a more practical way to choose a system around their normal stage height.
Each 4' x 4' platform works as one module.
Additional platforms can be combined to create larger stage dimensions.
When adjacent stage platforms are connected, they share 2 legs and 1 brace along the adjoining side.
This reduces unnecessary duplicated supporting components and creates a more integrated stage system.
Each platform measures:
4' x 4'
or approximately:
1.22 x 1.22m
This standard module size provides a practical balance between usable stage area, transport, storage and future expansion.
Multiple modules can be combined to form larger stages according to the event layout.
For buyers comparing individual decks and modular platform products, see our Stage Platforms & Decks category.
The system is available in the following configurations:
Option | Adjustable Height | Imperial |
|---|---|---|
A | 0.4–0.8m | 1.3–2.6 ft |
B | 0.6–1.0m | 2.0–3.3 ft |
C | 0.8–1.2m | 2.6–3.9 ft |
D | 1.0–1.4m | 3.3–4.6 ft |
E | 1.2–2.0m | 3.9–6.6 ft |
F | 1.2–1.8m | 3.9–5.9 ft |
G | 1.6–2.0m | 5.2–6.6 ft |
Choose the smallest practical height range that comfortably covers your required stage level and expected ground variation.
A taller range is not automatically a better choice.
Each support leg can be adjusted independently.
This is particularly useful when the ground height changes across the installation area.
For example, if one side of a lawn is 150mm lower than the other side, the supporting legs do not all need to be set to the same length.
This individual adjustment allows the stage structure to compensate for the ground difference while maintaining a level deck.
For related support components, browse Stage Legs & Supports.
Larger stages are not built by treating every 4' x 4' module as a completely independent platform.
Adjacent modules share:
2 support legs + 1 brace
at their connection.
This means the total number of legs and braces depends on the final stage layout rather than simply multiplying the parts required for one standalone platform.
For larger stage configurations, provide your required length × width × height so the complete support layout can be calculated correctly.
The main supporting structure uses 6061 aluminum, helping provide a practical balance between structural performance, corrosion resistance, transport weight and repeated event use.
This makes the system suitable for event companies that regularly transport, assemble and dismantle stage equipment.
The platform uses an 18mm black anti-slip plywood deck.
The dark surface provides a professional event appearance while the textured finish improves footing compared with a smooth untreated surface.

Note: The 750kg/m² figure refers to the rated platform load capacity supplied for this stage system. Site suitability, ground conditions, overall stage configuration and safe installation still need to be considered separately.
This system is particularly useful for outdoor temporary venues where the ground may not be perfectly flat.
Typical applications include:
outdoor concerts;
festival stages;
community events;
temporary performance areas;
public celebrations.
Hotel gardens, lawns and outdoor wedding venues often have landscaping slopes or small changes in ground elevation.
Independent support adjustment helps create a level stage without requiring every installation point to start at the same ground height.
For organizations using the same stage system at different venues, adjustable supports provide more flexibility than a single fixed-height structure.
Typical uses include:
graduation events;
performances;
ceremonies;
outdoor gatherings;
presentations.
This is one of the strongest applications for the system.
Rental companies rarely control the ground conditions of every venue.
A height-adjustable modular stage provides more flexibility across different customer locations and can be expanded by adding more 4' x 4' modules as inventory grows.
The system can also be used for temporary presentation areas, product launches and event platforms where a level deck must be created above an irregular installation surface.
Recommended for buyers who normally need lower stages on mildly uneven outdoor ground.
Suggested starting ranges:
0.4–0.8m or 0.6–1.0m
Typical users:
weddings;
DJ events;
small performances;
school events.
For events requiring a more visible elevated platform, consider:
0.8–1.2m or 1.0–1.4m
At these heights, stage access and edge protection become increasingly important purchasing considerations.
For stage requirements above approximately 1.2m, available ranges include:
1.2–1.8m;
1.2–2.0m;
1.6–2.0m.
At these heights, do not select the system based only on the maximum height.
The complete stage size, site conditions, access, guardrails and installation requirements should be considered together.
Because each deck is approximately 4' x 4' / 1.22 x 1.22m, common layouts include:
Nominal Stage Size | Layout | Decks |
|---|---|---|
4' x 4' | 1 × 1 | 1 |
8' x 8' | 2 × 2 | 4 |
12' x 8' | 3 × 2 | 6 |
12' x 12' | 3 × 3 | 9 |
16' x 12' | 4 × 3 | 12 |
16' x 16' | 4 × 4 | 16 |
20' x 16' | 5 × 4 | 20 |
These figures calculate the deck modules only.
The supporting legs and braces should be calculated according to the complete layout because adjacent modules share structural components.
A usable all-terrain stage normally requires more than the platform modules alone.
Depending on finished height and event use, you may need:
Elevated stages require practical performer or staff access.
You can browse our Stage Steps & Stairs for compatible access options.
Guardrails may be needed depending on stage height, venue rules and intended use.
See our Stage Guard Rails category for available options.
Skirting can hide the supporting structure and provide a cleaner appearance for weddings, corporate events and formal presentations.
Browse Stage Skirts & Covers.
Where wheeled equipment or accessible entry is required, a ramp may be more appropriate than stairs.
See Stage Ramps.
Start with the required deck height.
Do not immediately choose the system with the largest possible adjustment range.
If your normal target height is around 0.7m, a 0.4–0.8m system is generally a more logical starting point than a 1.2–2.0m version.
This is equally important.
A buyer may say:
“I need a 0.8m-high stage.”
But if the ground changes by 200mm across the installation area, some support points may need to be significantly longer than others.
Therefore, consider:
Target Stage Height + Ground Level Difference
Determine the required performance area first.
Then calculate the number of 4' x 4' modules.
Only after the deck layout is known should the complete leg and brace configuration be determined.
If the stage will be used repeatedly by a rental business, adjustable height may be more valuable because different venues can have different surfaces and elevation requirements.
More adjustment range is not always better.
A taller supporting system normally means more structure and may be unnecessary for lower-stage applications.
Select the smallest practical range that covers your expected use.
On uneven ground, the desired finished height at one location is not enough.
The difference between the highest and lowest ground points also matters.
Adjacent stage modules share legs and braces.
Do not calculate the supporting components by simply multiplying one standalone platform package by the deck quantity.
Once the stage becomes elevated, access and edge protection become part of the complete buying decision.
Height adjustment provides useful flexibility, but it does not mean the system should automatically be used on any slope, soft ground, unstable surface or unusual site condition without assessment.
For significant slopes, unusual terrain or high-stage configurations, contact us with site information before finalizing the system.
It is a modular stage system designed for temporary venues where ground levels may vary.
Each supporting leg can be adjusted independently so that different support points can compensate for uneven terrain while the deck surface remains level.
Each stage module measures approximately:
4' x 4' / 1.22 x 1.22m
Seven adjustable ranges are available:
0.4–0.8m
0.6–1.0m
0.8–1.2m
1.0–1.4m
1.2–1.8m
1.2–2.0m
1.6–2.0m
Yes.
Each support leg can be independently adjusted to compensate for differences in ground elevation.
The adjustable support system is designed to accommodate uneven and sloped installation conditions within an appropriate configuration.
For significant slopes or unusual terrain, please provide site dimensions, level differences and photos so the application can be reviewed before ordering.
The rated platform load capacity is 750kg/m².
The complete stage still needs to be installed and configured correctly, and site conditions should be considered separately.
When platforms are installed next to each other, adjacent modules share 2 legs and 1 brace along the connection.
This means larger layouts use a more efficient shared support arrangement rather than completely independent platform frames.
Stairs are optional.
The correct stair configuration depends on the selected stage height and access requirement.
Guardrails are optional.
Whether they are necessary depends on stage height, venue requirements, intended use and applicable local rules.
