Dragon Stage
This 4' x 8' platform is built for exactly those conditions. Each support leg is adjusted on its own, which means the frame does not have to follow the terrain — the deck is levelled above it. One corner can sit on a longer leg while the opposite corner stays short, and the surface you perform on remains flat.
The platform is assembled from two standard 4' x 4' modular decks, joined along the length so that they share support legs and braces instead of duplicating frame parts. That same building block lets the stage grow later: add decks to extend it into 8' x 8', 12' x 8' or larger configurations without changing the system.
Where footings need to be spread over soft or uneven ground, the legs end in flat square base plates that spread the load instead of concentrating it on a single point.
Independent leg adjustment — Every leg is set separately, so supports on the low side of a site can be extended while the high side stays shorter. The result is a level deck, not a deck that copies the slope.
Seven height ranges — Choose from 0.4–0.8m up to 1.6–2.0m. Picking the smallest range that covers your working height keeps the structure as simple and light as the job allows.
Modular 4' x 4' decks — The 4' x 8' platform is two standard modules. The same deck is the unit for every larger layout, so one system covers small events and full festival stages.
Shared legs and braces — Adjacent modules share two support legs and one brace at the joint. Fewer duplicated parts means less to transport, less to assemble and a more rigid joined platform.
6061 aluminum structure — The load-bearing frame is built from 6061 aluminum: a practical balance of strength, corrosion resistance and transport weight for equipment that is built and struck repeatedly.
18mm anti-slip plywood deck — The deck surface is 18mm black plywood with a textured anti-slip finish. The dark finish reads as a professional stage surface and gives better footing than a smooth panel.

Note on load capacity: 750kg/m² is the rated platform load for this system. Site conditions, ground bearing capacity, the complete stage configuration and correct installation must still be assessed separately for each project.
Seven adjustable ranges are available. The right choice is the smallest range that comfortably covers your normal stage height plus the ground level difference across the installation area.
Option | Adjustable height | Imperial |
|---|---|---|
A | 0.4 – 0.8m | 1.3 – 2.6 ft |
B | 0.6 – 1.0m | 2.0 – 3.3 ft |
C | 0.8 – 1.2m | 2.6 – 3.9 ft |

G | 1.6 – 2.0m | 5.2 – 6.6 ft |
Every deck module is 4' x 4' (1.22 x 1.22m). Use the table below to work out how many decks a layout needs — the 4' x 8' platform in this listing is the two-deck row.
Nominal stage size | Layout | Decks required |
|---|---|---|
4' x 4' | 1 x 1 | 1 |
4' x 8' | 1 x 2 | 2 |
8' x 8' | 2 x 2 | 4 |
12' x 8' | 3 x 2 | 6 |
12' x 12' | 3 x 3 | 9 |
16' x 12' | 4 x 3 | 12 |
16' x 16' | 4 x 4 | 16 |
20' x 16' | 5 x 4 | 20 |
These figures count deck modules only. Legs and braces must be calculated against the finished layout, because adjacent modules share structural components at every joint.
Stage deck — 18mm black anti-slip plywood panel set into an aluminum frame; the walking surface of each 4' x 4' module.
Extendable leg — Telescopic support set individually for each footing, which is what allows a level deck over uneven ground.
Brace — Diagonal and horizontal bracing between uprights that keeps the frame rigid once the legs are set at different heights.
Adjustable base — Flat square base plate at the foot of each leg, spreading the load over a wider area of the ground.
Outdoor concerts and festival stages
Community events and public celebrations
Temporary performance areas
Hotel gardens and outdoor wedding venues
School and church ceremonies and performances
Corporate launches and rental stage inventory
Steps & stairs — safe access for performers and crew on elevated stages.
Guardrails — edge protection where stage height, venue rules or use require it.
Skirting — closes off the frame for weddings, corporate and formal events.
Ramps — for wheeled equipment or accessible entry instead of stairs.
Set the finished height — decide the deck height your events normally use, then pick the smallest adjustable range that covers it.
Measure the ground — record the difference between the highest and lowest footing points. Height range plus ground difference determines the leg you need.
Plan the area — choose the performance area first, convert it into 4' x 4' decks, and let the leg and brace layout follow.
What is the platform size in this listing? The platform is 4' x 8' (1.22 x 2.44m), assembled from two standard 4' x 4' (1.22 x 1.22m) deck modules connected along the length.
How does the platform stay level on uneven ground? Each support leg is adjusted independently. Legs on the lower side of the site are extended while the higher side stays shorter, so the deck itself is levelled rather than tilted to match the ground.
What height ranges are available? Seven ranges: 0.4–0.8m, 0.6–1.0m, 0.8–1.2m, 1.0–1.4m, 1.2–1.8m, 1.2–2.0m and 1.6–2.0m. The overall adjustment span of the system is 0.4m to 2.0m.
What is the load capacity? The rated platform load capacity is 750kg/m². Correct installation and site conditions still need to be considered separately for each project.
How are modules connected? Adjacent modules share two support legs and one brace along the joint, so larger stages use a more efficient shared support layout instead of fully independent frames.
Can the stage be extended later? Yes. Additional 4' x 4' modules can be added to build larger stages such as 8' x 8', 12' x 8' or 16' x 16'. Keep the leg and brace layout under review as the platform grows.
Are stairs and guardrails included? Both are optional. The right stair and guardrail configuration depends on the finished stage height, access requirements and any venue rules that apply.
Can it be used on any slope or soft ground? Height adjustment gives useful flexibility, but it is not a substitute for site assessment. For significant slopes, unstable or soft ground, or tall configurations, send us the site details so the setup can be reviewed before ordering.
Send us the following and we will confirm the right height range, deck layout and leg and brace configuration:
Stage length x width (for example 4' x 8', or a larger layout)
Required finished height
Difference between the highest and lowest ground points
Indoor or outdoor use, plus stair and guardrail requirements
