The DragonStage Black Powder Coated Aluminum Square Truss 290x290mm is the colored-finish version of our standard 290mm modular square spigot truss.
The basic truss geometry remains the same: a 290 × 290 mm (11.42 × 11.42 in) four-chord square configuration using 50 × 2 mm main tubes and a conical spigot connection system.
The difference is the surface finish.
Instead of the natural silver appearance of unfinished aluminum, the truss receives a powder-coated surface finish, with black being the standard colored option presented on this page.
This makes the product particularly useful when the truss itself forms part of the visible event environment rather than functioning only as equipment support.
The choice between silver and black is often not about structural function.
It is about how visible you want the truss to be.
Natural silver aluminum reflects more ambient and stage light and gives the familiar industrial appearance of event trussing.

Our current aluminum powder-coating process includes preparation of the aluminum surface to remove oil contamination, oxides, dust and other impurities. Areas requiring additional preparation may also be mechanically ground before the powder application and curing stages.
This is important because the final coating starts with the condition of the aluminum underneath—not just the powder applied on top.
