How to Choose the Correct Truss Cover

There are three things to check before ordering.

1. Confirm the Truss Sectional Size

This product is intended for:

300 × 300 mm square bolt truss

Do not choose only by terms such as “12-inch truss” or by appearance.

Measure the actual outside sectional dimensions.

2. Confirm the Truss Type

This version is intended for bolt-connected square truss.

If you have a different truss system, especially a different sectional size, confirm compatibility before purchasing.

3. Choose the Correct Length

Measure the individual truss section you want to cover.

For example:

1m truss → choose corresponding 1m cover
2m truss → choose corresponding 2m cover
3m truss → choose corresponding 3m cover

Other lengths can be offered as additional SKUs.

190GSM vs 280GSM: Which Should You Choose?

The two DragonEvent products now serve different buying situations.

The choice is therefore not simply:

“190GSM is cheap and 280GSM is better.”

They solve somewhat different problems.

Choose 190GSM black when the goal is mainly to make the truss disappear visually.

Choose 280GSM white when the covered truss itself becomes part of the event decoration.

When Does This Product Make Sense?

Buy this cover when:

You already have 300 × 300mm bolt truss + the aluminum structure is visible + you want a cleaner black appearance.

You may not need it when the truss is already hidden behind curtains, scenery or other event equipment.

For rental inventory, I would therefore recommend starting with the lengths you use most frequently rather than buying covers for every truss section you own.

Important Use & Safety Notes

This product is a fabric accessory only.

It does not:

• Increase truss load capacity

• Strengthen the truss

• Replace structural components

• Replace safety cables or rigging hardware

• Provide weather protection to the truss system

For outdoor installations, adding fabric to a structure can also change how the structure interacts with wind. Do not treat a covered outdoor truss as equivalent to an uncovered truss for structural or wind planning.

Keep the fabric away from open flames and inappropriate heat sources.

Can I use this on 290 × 290mm truss?

Do not assume that a cover made for 300 × 300mm bolt truss will provide the intended fit on a 289/290mm truss.

For 289/290mm square truss, choose the corresponding DragonEvent truss-cover version.

Is this suitable for outdoor stages?

It can be used as a decorative cover in event applications, but covering a structure with fabric can affect wind behavior. Outdoor structural suitability and wind management must be evaluated for the actual installation.

Is 190GSM enough, or should I buy 280GSM?

If your main goal is practical black concealment of truss, 190GSM is the standard option.

If the truss itself is a visible decorative element and you want heavier fabric with better visual coverage, the 280GSM premium version may be more appropriate.

How many covers should I order?

For individual covered sections, a practical starting calculation is:

Number of visible truss sections = number of matching covers.
