Dragon Stage
A 50 mm hook tape is double-stitched into the top hem, not glued and not stapled. The matching loop tape is fixed to the stage fascia, either self-adhesive for touring decks or screw-fixed for permanent installations. The skirt presses on along the deck edge, the top hem sits 5 mm below the deck surface so the fabric never catches the lip, and one person can dress ten metres in about four minutes.
Standard cloth is 100% polyester velour at 280 g/m², with 220 g/m² for lighter touring work and 320 g/m² for school and town halls. The bottom hem is double-folded to 50 mm with an optional 30 g/m chain weight, so the skirt hangs straight and does not flutter when stage doors open.
1:1.5 — 1.5 m of cloth per finished metre. Fast to pack, lowest cost, suited to short drops and dark rooms.
1:2 — the most ordered option. Pleats deep enough to hide the deck edge and to recover shape after folding.
1:2.5 — dense fold, richest colour. The usual choice for theatres, churches and drops over 75 cm.
Flat panel (1:1) and box pleat construction are available where a tailored or directional fold is required.
Drops run from 30 cm to 120 cm, cut to ±5 mm against the height you give us. Panels come in 1 m, 2 m or 3 m lengths, or as one continuous run up to 50 m; we recommend splitting at 3 m for handling. Panels from the same dye lot are numbered in sequence, so a 20 m front meets at the same pleat pitch and reads as one curtain. Twelve shades are held in stock for 5–7 day shipment; custom dyeing is 300 m minimum per shade, matched to a Pantone TCX reference or a physical swatch.
A 50 mm hook strip is double-stitched into the top hem — not glued, not stapled. It grips a matching loop tape fixed to the stage fascia and holds under its own weight with no sag between panels.
The skirt runs to the floor and closes the gap under the deck. Cables, sandbags and spare cases disappear, and the platform reads as a solid piece of scenery from the audience.
Any drop from 30 to 120 cm, any perimeter, and colour matched to your existing drapes or brand palette. Send a swatch and we dye to it — or pick from 50+ stock colours.
Inherently FR polyester or FR-treated velour, tested to EN 13773 class 1 or NFPA 701 depending on market. Certificates supplied as PDF with the shipment.
Colour fastness to light grade 4–5 and to washing grade 3–4, so a touring skirt does not fade into pink after two seasons. Wash at 30 °C, hang dry, no ironing on the pile.
Long runs are cut from one dye lot and numbered in sequence, so seams meet at the same pleat pitch. A 20 m front reads as one continuous curtain, not three separate drops.

Clean the fascia, peel the backing and press the loop tape along the deck edge.
Press the first panel's hook tape down from a corner, working outward with the top edge level.
Overlap panels by 100–150 mm at the same pleat pitch so the seam disappears into a fold.
Dress each pleat from header to hem — the skirt hangs straight and the hem sits on the floor.
The loop side stays on the stage; the hook side travels with the skirt. That is the whole system — which is why a volunteer crew can dress a platform in minutes.
Stock colours ship in 5–7 days. Custom dyeing is 300 m minimum per shade and about 15 days, matched to a Pantone reference or a physical swatch you send.
Deep-drop red or burgundy velour under a pulpit platform, with a matching front panel for the communion table. Quiet fabric, no hardware visible from the pews.
Panels numbered and bagged per position, so the same skirt dresses the same stage every night. Washable, foldable, and replaceable one panel at a time.
Neutral ivory or charcoal skirt on a low riser, hiding cable runs and flight cases behind the head table. Installed by hotel staff in under ten minutes.
Ivory, champagne or blush pleating on a dance floor riser or a cake stage, with the pleat pitch chosen to match the table linen.
Hard-wearing 320 g/m² with eyelet fixing where the stage has no fascia to tape to. Flame-retardant certificate supplied for the venue file.
Short 30–40 cm drops used as a plinth skirt under product displays, in brand colours matched to the stand graphics.
Will the Velcro hold on a stage moved every week?
Yes, if the loop tape is fixed properly. For touring decks we supply high-tack adhesive tape plus a screw-fix option every 300 mm. The hook side is double-stitched into the hem, so the tape is the replaceable part.
Can I order one continuous piece?
Up to 50 m, though panels are recommended at 3 m for handling. Panels from the same dye lot are numbered in sequence.
Is the fabric flame retardant?
Inherently FR polyester and FR-treated velour are available, with reports to EN 13773 class 1, NFPA 701 or DIN 4102 B1 issued for the production lot.
What is the minimum order?
20 sets for stock colours, 300 m of fabric for custom dyeing. Samples in 3–5 days.
How is it packed?
Each panel rolled on a tube, bagged and position-labelled, then packed in a woven bag. A 20 m skirt at 50 cm drop weighs about 14 kg and fits one carton.
